Inveniam Group is made up of a diverse and multidisciplinary team that works together to bring breakthrough technologies to the market. Every month we will highlight one of our team members to get to know them and show who we are. For our 10th installment we present, Guillermo Llamas.
What interested you about working with Inveniam Group?
I came across Inveniam when I was finishing my master’s degree in Financial and Accounting Management. From the very first moment I was very excited about the possibility of helping start-ups to take their first steps in sectors with such a great potential to improve people’s lives, such as sustainability and life science. In addition, advising and financially planning for these companies in strategic decisions that affect their future was a key reason for me to decide to work at Inveniam Group.
In addition, working on diverse projects and having direct contact with clients almost from the very beginning were two more reasons that added to the list of why I knew Inveniam Group was the right place for me.
What do you do here at Inveniam Group?
I am a financial analyst at Inveniam Group, and I am in charge of supporting the financial part of many of the projects we work on, both in the area of sustainability and life science, predominantly when the project is close to reaching the market. Specifically, I oversee key financial tasks such as financial projections, company valuation, market analysis, support in tasks related to private fundraising, and evaluation of pricing strategies, among others. This tasks mean that I am often involved in private fundraising rounds and also part of the team in preparing proposals to obtain European and national grants, such as the EIC Accelerator, for our start-up and SME clients.
What are your fields of interest?
Finance and entrepreneurship are two of my passions. I have always had a special interest in corporate finance, and everything related to M&A. Moreover, I believe that these topics take on greater importance, in the world of start-ups. At Inveniam Group I have been able to combine these two interests and work on something that I am really passionate about. Moreover, by specialising in life science and sustainability, I have discovered impact investing, which is where I want to direct my professional career.
What do you like to do in your spare time?

Without a doubt, going out to eat and travelling are my two favourite hobbies, and if I can combine them, even better! I am a foodie at heart so I always try to find a new restaurant where I can try food I’ve never tried before. I am a young soul, I still have lots of places to visit and food to taste, but among the next travel destinations I have in mind are Croatia and Thailand. Any restaurant tips, please let me know!
